The Good Neighbour's Recorder Ensemble is a dedicated group of players who enjoy making music together at the new East Kildonan Senior Centre/Community Club. New recorder players are always welcome!

Classically trained but raised on classic rock Winnipeg musician Sister Dorothy has been a performer since childhood. She has released 7 CD's and over 30 videos. Sister Dorothy will be performing instrumental classical guitar and flute selections.

12:45 NEW HORIZONS BAND
The Winnipeg New Horizons Band is delighted to be taking part in the Festival of Trees and Lights. We are a learning band with members who have played before in their younger years plus those who have never played a musical instrument. We will play Christmas Carols plus music related to the season

2:00 ACB WOODWIND QUINTET
The Air Command Band Woodwind quintet is valued for its versatility and variety of tone color. With its rich velvety sounds, this outstanding musical ensemble is perfectly suited for a formal function or for a small ceremony or reception. From Classical to contemporary music, this group can play repertoire that will enrich any event.

3:00 ASSINIBOINE CHORUS OF SWEET ADELINES
The Assiniboine Show Chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International which is a world wide organization of women who sing together a cappella in four part harmony, barbershop style. Our motto is real women, real harmony, real fun. We welcome new members! If you love to sing, we've got a place for you!

The Miles Macdonell Flute Choir is an extra curricular ensemble and has been performing for several years at various functions throughtout the city. It is a student run and student lead ensemble whose membership changes from year to year.

2:00 FINE COMPANIONS
The Fine Companions Dance band plays the beautiful music of English Country Dancing, spanning the ages from the 1600’s to modern times. We also perform at weddings, receptions, conferences and other special events. We have been together for over 20 years, and play an exciting combination of old and new instruments.

7:30 WINNIPEG BRASS CHOIR
The Winnipeg Brass Choir is a group of local brass players, many of whom are school or private music teachers. They will be performing a wide selection of holiday favourites

1:00 THE INCREDIBOWS
The Incredibows: The fiddling program in the Seven Oaks School Division is a relatively new addition to the active music curriculum there.  Currently there are eight schools in the division that offer a fiddling program to their students. The group that you are enjoying today is from Ecole Seven Oaks Middle School This group of fiddlers are in grades 6, 7, and 8 and meet twice a week at lunch time.

2:00 GOLDEN BELLES
The GOOD NEIGHBOURS "GOLDEN BELLES" Handbells are 10 enthusiastic Ringers who perform on the 37 Bell 3 Octave set of SCHULMERICH HANDBELLS. Their presentation portrays many techniques with Mallets and Echo, Shakes and Bell Tree. Their repertoire represents arrangements of Show Tunes, Sacred, Patriotic and Seasonal selections.

7:30 NORTHWINDS COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND
The NorthWinds Community Concert Band is a non-profit organization formed in 2000 with the amalgamation of the River East and Kildonan East community bands. Currently there are approximately 40 members ranging in age from 17 to 85. We are led by Dr. Michael Scholfield, a very experienced conductor. Throughout the year the band plays at various venues, playing a wide variety of music.

2:00 RESONANCE
RESONANCE is an all girls contemporary vocal group who enjoy performing! We are really excited to have a back up band this year & look forward to singing some upbeat music for you. KEC Guitar Ensemble is comprised of students in grades 9-12 who are interested in playing guitar in a smaller ensemble setting- we practice 2 times a week and are excited to perform for you!

7:30 WESTWOOD COMMUNITY BAND
Westwood Community Band is a group of enthusiastic volunteers aged 18 to 80+ who love playing music. We are led by Dr. Michael Scholfield, a very experienced and knowledgeable director. Our 45 members range from beginners to accomplished musicians. In keeping with the season, this concert will be primarily Christmas tunes.

2:00 LEN THE CELLIST

7:00 SHILLING BEAR
Kids are encouraged to come out in their Pyjamas with their Teddy Bears on December. 4th at 7pm to enjoy an interactive presentation by storyteller Cindy Robin and local chiropractor Dr. Terry Michalyshyn, who will read from Robin's (soon to be published book) "Shilling Bear" (A Story About Kindness & Sharing).  A Surprise Guest will also be arriving to hand out "goodies" after the story.

7:30 VILLAGE GREEN
Village Green English Country Dancers was started in 1975 to preserve and enjoy the historic and traditional social dance of England. Dances are done in formations -- lines, squares, or circles -- and involve two, three, four or more couples. In addition to weekly classes we enjoy several workshops and socials every year and a Grand Ball every other year. Our own live band, the Fine Companions, accompany the dancers. The dancers will be dancing Morris dances accompanied by the Boatmen, Garland dances and English Country dances accompanied by the Fine Companions.

12:00 KINGS OF KLEZMER
The Kings of Klezmer featuring Winnipeg's own Eli Herscovitch will entertain you with lively, toe-tapping, seasonal favorites with a Rumanian twist.

1:30 COMHALTAS
"Comhaltas" is an international organization first established in the early 1950s which promotes traditional Irish music and culture (singing, dancing, story telling). At the Festival we will be playing traditional Irish music in its authentic style for the enjoyment of the listening audience.

Sunday, December 6th 3:00pm Tree, Gingerbread, and Wreath raffle draws!
Proceeds from the tree raffle will be donated to the Manitoba Special Olympics and the Friends of the Assiniboine Park Conservatory.
