AMINDRA CONSORT 3:00 p.m.
The Amindra Consort is: Kevin Scott (harpsichord, recorder, guitar), Margaret McKenty (recorders), and Mark McLearon (recorders). We perform chamber music from the Baroque, Renaissance, and Medieval periods (12th to 18th C). Our repertoire comprises sonatas, court dances, country dances, fantasias and madrigals. Favourite composers include Handel, Telemann, Corelli, Susato, Isaac, Weelkes, East and others, along with the perennially prolific Anonymous.
Previous performances include: the Brit Cafe's Medieval Feast, the Society for Creative Anachronism's Twelfth Night, Roca Jack's Baroque Nights, Manitoba Hydro's annual Festival of Trees, the biennial Medieval Festival at Cook's Creek, Sage Garden's Herbfest, Gordie's Coffeehouse, Sam's Place, and retirement and social functions.

SHILLING BEAR 2 p.m.
Cindy Robin is an entertaining storyteller who shares her gift of special "magic" with children of all ages. Her prolific writing and personal readings, often with the assistance of her puppetry, has delighted many. Cindy is a frequent guest at the Children´s Hospital in Winnipeg on their hospital TV broadcast of the "Good Day Show".
Bring the kids in their pj's with their favourite teddy to hear this enchanting bedtime story.

ELECTRIC CHORDS - MB HYDRO STAFF CHOIR
The Manitoba Hydro "ELECTRIC CHORDS" Christmas choir was founded 20 years ago under the leadership of Cliff Harris, who arranged a number of the group’s carols. The current director, John Tanner, is pursuing studies on pipe organ and choral conducting. Bert Jackson, pianist, is ‘on loan’ from Hatch Consultants.
The ensemble mainly consists of Hydro employees and retirees who volunteer their time during the Christmas season. The choir has gone from singing only "in-house" to extending Christmas Cheer at senior residences, shopping malls and Santa Claus parade to name a few. In addition, they produced a CD 10 years ago and are planning to record another one in the near future.

The Incredibows: The fiddling program in the Seven Oaks School Division is a relatively new addition to the active music curriculum there. Currently there are eight schools in the division that offer a fiddling program to their students. The group that you are enjoying today is from Ecole Seven Oaks Middle School This group of fiddlers are in grades 6, 7, and 8 and meet twice a week at lunch time.

The Good Neighbour's Recorder Ensemble is a dedicated group of players who enjoy making music together at the new East Kildonan Senior Centre/Community Club. New recorder players are always welcome!
JOE OCZERKLEWICZ– sings, plays acoustic guitar and harmonica all at the same time! A weekend busker at the Forks and budding songwriter, Joe will be playing season appropriate songs from the Beatles, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and others. Most definitely a sing-a-along evening you won’t want to miss!

The Assiniboine Show Chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International which is a world wide organization of women who sing together a cappella in four part harmony, barbershop style. Classically trained but raised on classic rock Winnipeg musician Sister Dorothy has been a performer since childhood. She has released 7 CD's and over 30 videos. Sister Dorothy will be performing instrumental classical guitar and flute selections.

The GOOD NEIGHBOURS "GOLDEN BELLES" Handbells are 10 enthusiastic Ringers who perform on the 37 Bell 3 Octave set of SCHULMERICH HANDBELLS. Their presentation portrays many techniques with Mallets and Echo, Shakes and Bell Tree. Their repertoire represents arrangements of Show Tunes, Sacred, Patriotic and Seasonal selections.

Daniel MacIntyre Collegiate Institute Alumni Choir, under the direction of Barry Anderson, a mixed choir now entering it's 32nd year presenting Christmas Songs

NORTHWINDS COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND 7 p.m.
The NorthWinds Community Concert Band is a non-profit organization formed in 2000 with the amalgamation of the River East and Kildonan East community bands. Currently there are approximately 40 members ranging in age from 17 to 85. We are led by Dr. Michael Scholfield, a very experienced conductor. Throughout the year the band plays at various venues, playing a wide variety of music.

Our 45 members range from beginners to accomplished musicians. In keeping with the season, this concert will be primarily Christmas tunes.

Jan Freihammer plays a variety of wooden recorders (tenor, alto, soprano and sopranino) and specializes in music of the baroque period. He also enjoys playing jazz and ragtime. He is also a pianist and continues to study piano, recorder and voice.
Kevin Scott is a multi-instrumentalist, having experience with piano, guitar, harpsichord, concertina, recorder, mandolin and dulcimer. Having worked with eveything from rock bands to string quartets, his interests range from early music to British folk to rock and classical music.
